Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Federal student aid is financial help to cover school expenses, including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and transportation. Most federal aid is need-based.
The three most common types of aid are grants, loans, and work-study.
Grants (Gift Aid) are a type of financial aid that doesn't have to be repaid.
Loans are borrowed money that must be repaid with interest.
Work-study lets you earn money while enrolled.

Scholarship information is based on the College Board's Annual Survey of Financial Aid Programs.
The questionnaire you fill out is very long (6 parts) but the information is used to find the greatest number of scholarships. Your profile is automatically saved, so you can come back and edit later. The initial list gives the deadline date and whether or not it is a national or institutional scholarship. You can make a list of your favorites.
