Tri-C Library Services: Loan Policies/Fines

Information about your Tri-C libraries, including hours, locations, phone numbers, services, reserve materials, fines, and more.

Patron Responsibility

When you check out library items, you are responsible if items are lost, damaged, or not returned.

If you check out an item and do not return it within 30 days after the due date, a HOLD will be placed on your student account.

If a HOLD is placed on your student account, you will not be able to:

  • register for classes,
  • obtain enrollment verification or transcripts (official or unofficial), or
  • graduate.

HOLDS will not be removed until all late fees have been paid.

If an item is overdue more than 24 months, replacement charges will be directed to the Ohio Attorney General for collection.

Limits

  • You may check out up to 25 items at a time (Tri-C items, OhioLINK items, or a combination of the two).
  • You may place no more than 10 holds at one time.
