Assignment

JOURNAL ARTICLE REPORT:

You will type a minimum of a two full -page paper (12 font & double spaced) reflecting on a journal article.  Choose an article that is at least five pages long and published within the last five years that relates to the development of young children, or early childhood education.  The article must be from a professional early childhood journal, be peer reviewed, less than 5 years old and on a topic of early childhood education and brain development.  Research articles can be accessed through the Tri-C Library journal database.   

  • In your own words, write an overall summary of the main points of the article.  What is the article about?
  • Explain your feelings about the information in the article.
  • Describe what you think the impact of the article could be for each: parents, teachers, and children.
  • What did you find interesting and why?
  • How does this article relate to class?
  • Explain your reaction to the article and how the information may or may not be used by a professional. 
  • A copy of the journal article must to be turned in with your report for grading.  If no article is submitted in a full PDF, a grade of 0 will be given. (include both the report and the journal article into the submission link)
  • Include a cover page for your paper with your name, and a full and accurate reference in APA style for the article.
