When searching databases for articles (which are secondary sources unless they are reporting on results of a study or experiment):

  • Use keywords to search for your topics
  • ALWAYS limit to Full Text

Create a My EBSCO Account so you can store articles in folders...

Searching Multiple Databases

Use Google to Define Resource Types

Google Web Search

  Use the site command to limit your search to education sites:  
Just add at the end of your search.
Example:  "primary sources"  (NO spaces between site: and the domain.)

  Quotations around a search phrase tells the search engine to find the exact phrase:
Examples:  "primary source"  "secondary source"   "popular vs. scholarly"
