When searching databases for articles (which are secondary sources unless they are reporting on results of a study or experiment):
Create a My EBSCO Account so you can store articles in folders...
Use the site command to limit your search to education sites:
Just add site:.edu at the end of your search.
Example: "primary sources" site:.edu (NO spaces between site: and the domain.)
Quotations around a search phrase tells the search engine to find the exact phrase:
Examples: "primary source" "secondary source" "popular vs. scholarly"
Compare commercial websites (.com) with government, educational, and organizational websites (.gov, .edu, .org). Here are some evaluation methods:
