Topic must be debatable or controversial. Because you are writing an argument, there must be at least two sides to the topic.

Make an argument using one of the following options:

• take a stand on a controversial issue
• make a call to action on a controversial issue
• propose a solution to a problem related to a controversial issue
• analyze the controversial causes and/or effects of a controversial phenomenon/trend.

Essay should be 6-8 typewritten, double-spaced pages plus a Works Cited page.

Use at least 5 sources from the library databases.

All sources must be documented in MLA format.
