APA Style Guide: Citing Websites

Things to Include

Reference Page

  • Author (if known). If no author, use title
  • Date of publication. If no date, use n.d.
  • Title of web page (in italics)
  • Publisher, if known (if the author and publisher are the same, omit the publisher)
  • URL (web address) of the web page
  • Citations with more than one line of text should have a hanging indent of 1/2 inch or 5 spaces.

In-Text Citations

  • Should include author's information and the year of publication
